hi i have a hot rod i am building and am powering it with a 2 litre twin cam fiat mirafiori engine i need to know if there is any way i can run a mechanical fan insted of a electric one does anyone know if this can be done ?

sounds like a cool project.

No idea about the fan though, sorry. How come you want to use a mechanical fan though? Most people ditch them in favour of an electrical one as the mechanical ones sap power.

Why not fit a cockpit override switch. Just wire the switch up through the dash to fan motor. Dead easy. Recommend a relay in between though.
Oh, dont forget the thermostat on 131's is high,so mount the raditor in line, otherwise you will have cooling problems!! Thermostat is in elbow on top of head.
