Hi all. My partner recently bought a 2011 500C… We got it at a really good price and love it but the heater stopped working. The more I researched the more it became apparent that was potentially the heater box temperature flat shaft and sure enough that’s what it was…
I spent a few weeks racking my brains as to how to fix this without actually getting a new heater box and destroying the cars interior fitting it.
I stumbled onto a brilliant solution, it turns out that a lot of Lego technics parts fit straight onto the actuator Housing. I have repositioned the actuator, used a few selected LEGO parts, and connected It to a screw off center into the area where the actuator normally connects.
Once I worked out the geometry it took about 30 minutes to fit and works a treat. I attached a photo showing the general idea, I didn’t even need all those parts.
