Hi all, thought it about time I joined the masses instead of lurking.
About six months ago I ditched my RenaultSport Megane, aka poo off a shovel gas guzzler, for a 2012 Lounge MJ2 95. The only diesel I could find at the time was in that mustard yellow colour but my 4 year old approved so it was a done deal. One lady owner from new with full Fiat history and 51k on the clock.
What a find it was too. I'm now spending £0 instead of £240 on tax, £200 instead of £350 on insurance and getting a spanking 87mpg instead of 24mpg. It's lively too, even Stig-like driving returns over 65mpg and it's been faultless so far.
I have only one complaint at the moment that occurs on my runway, at anything over 90mph there's a slight juddering but nothing that upsets the car too much. I'm guessing it's probably wheel balancing or an engine mount worn. I've looked on here but not seen anyone with the same issue yet so if anyone has any ideas?
I'm also looking at a remap in the near future but knowing Fiat history I've been trying to confirm that I have the uprated gearbox, it seems I have but wanted to be sure before I map up to 120. Is there any tell tale in the engine bay that's easy to spot or are all 95s fitted with the uprated box?
