Just bought a 57 plate punto. The dashboard display is blank. The backlight is on and dimmer works. But no writing or numbers. Is there a reset or is it broken?

well... this is a way to hide mileage lol jk

Yes probably it is.

Possibly a stupid question, but have you tried pushing the menu button on the right side of the dash? (where the headlight adjustment/fog buttons etc are)

I'm wondering if it's possible to adjust the display settings so that it's either on or off... I don't know if its even possible but worth a shot.

Perhaps the previous owner thought it distracting!

If not, it must be broken

It's common for these types of displays to no longer display anything.

My still screen on my stereo wouldn't work anymore.

I've also noticed that on my Punto, when it's absolutely freezing outside, if I use blue and me, the displays is very laggy. It like fades the last word and then sort of "loads" the new one. Haha

Has anyone got this fixed yet. I am currently experienci g the exact same symptoms

Not sure is it something I can easily check or would I need to go and get my pants pulled down by a garage lol

If you don't getting your hands dirty and bit hard work then can try yourself. Would imagine just need to remove the dashboard and check the wires behind it. Don't do a garage you'd be better of with an auto electrician.
