Hello.

I bought my '99 Multipla with the passenger lid missing. It is a non airbag dash with a shelf and a huge bottle holder instead of the airbag.
It has two white round mounting holes on the dash.
I sourced a replacement lid from a scrapyard, unseen, and the mount g points are very different. They are much larger diameter than the small holes on the white mounting points on the dash.
Is there a model year that this changed?

I am thinking of modifying the new lid brackets and fitting it.

I'm guessing a lot here as I've never seen a Multi without a passenger airbag fitted. Didn't even know that the non-airbag option existed!

The white bits look like cover plugs to me. The little slots in the middle of them are very similar to the fixings that hold the door trims in place. Have you tried putting a flat-bladed screwdriver in the slot and undoing them? If they are like the door panel fixings, they'll twist out with a quarter turn, or thereabouts. My guess is that may then expose holes in the dash that are large enough to take the hinges on the lid you've bought. Do the hinges line up with the white plugs?

Never seen one with no airbag either.

Looks like the holes on dash would take a bracket that the round part of the glove box you have plugs into. I did look for photos of when I had mine off.
Is there somewhere for the catch to clip into ?

Let me know if you are still wanting info and I will get you a photo of mine ... I guess you have glove box on drivers side though. Fixings are the same. I remember busting one as it was no obvious to me how they clipped apart. You remember the bad bits !

I removed the white plugs and tried to fit the lid. The holes line up and are of the correct size but the actual hinge mechanism is too bulky and does not let the lid slide all the way in. I will probably get busy with a file and trim it until it fits.
