51 plate Multipla. Intermittent fault with indicators. Sometimes they work normally then other times I have to apply pressure to the indicator 'arm' pressing them hard, down or up, to get the indicators to work. When the indicators are failing, the hazards won't work either. Any ideas. Thanks.

Sorry, no advice, but I have a similar problem (?) in that when using the indicators at night, pressing the switch can cause the headlights to go out!

Any suggestions for how to test where the fault is?

Thanks.

How are you getting on ?
No great expert but I would start by doing checks on the lights to see if there is anything odd going on.

Bad terminals or something on connector plugs. Bulb terminal gunged up.
Sort out any issues and retry.

Good luck

i had the same issue last year, sometimes indicators would not work, then i noticed hazard lights did not work properly either, they made a sort of shorting noise - Obviously car failed MOT on hazards but the problem was linked. My local garage suggested a new hazard light switch from FIAT which was very expensive or try and get one from a breakers - before taking doing this i removed the switch and noticed that at the back it was not connected properly, somehow it had come loose! I connected again and everything worked and i have never had a problem with either indicators or hazards since. Might be worth a try.
