My multipla packed in on Friday. A JTD. It will start and run for about 6/7 seconds and then stop, with the relays clicking. With ignition on, the fuel pump "trips" the relay after 6/7 seconds. I have read about the crank sensor problem, but unsure. Greenflag did diagnostic, but couldnt track it down apart from fuel problem.

I know the relay switches are fine as I have switched them with my punto,

Hi, Sorry to hear you have problems.The crank sensor was the first thing to go on our multipla,and the car would start when cold and just pack up when it starts getting warm.You would have to wait for it to go cold to start again.Was a real pain.
Part only costs around £20 from fiat,easy job to do.bolt off bolt on.

As above, extremely likely to be the crank sensor.

thanks, managed to get sensor off,-had to buy that star shape spanner thingy, waiting for sensor to arrive on Monday-fingers crossed!
