Put my Apex -30mm springs in today. seems to have lowered more than 30mm and still seems to want to go lower as its sat on all 4 bump stops!. I will cut them down later.

i took it over split speed bumps (u know, the ones that they have 3 big bumps (like islands) across the road and everyone dodges in and out of em) and it was fine... if not a little bumpy becuase of the bumpstops heh...

Gotta go tescos soon and they have proper speed bumps so i will see!

Oh, and ive cut the bumpstops down now... the car is always wonkey again now lol. need to replace struts sometime

right.. speed bumps... those horrible sharp hump ones (usualy made of plastic and usualy in industrial estates...) cause a problem. you have to take it very slow at the front because it bounces and hits the bottom... it clears it easy, its just the bounce that causes the problem. all other types of bumps seem fine!

did u get spings and dampers m8? or jus the springs??
i'm thinking an Apex full susp kit for my cinq coz my dampers and buggered:(

GoGoCinquecento, your burning up the quater mile!!

just the springs... Apex 30mm springs. but ive replaced my rear bumpers with uprated blistering (or somethin like that) shocks, which are equivenant to standard but just better build and supposed to last longer, as both my back shocks were nackered and are now in the wheelie bin heh :D

dunno if my front are buggered but its still nice and stiff so im gonna leave them for a while before i start takling it all apart again.

do you think it would be better for me to buy the full apex suspension kit rather than just the springs? because my dampers are shot to hell.

Any opinions??

i haven't really noticed whether mine are ok or not. what to look for? I'm very tempted with gettin some springs now:D

u can only really cvhekc when you take them off. does ur car always look wonkey when u get out? like its leaning to one side?

if so then atleast one of the shocks has gone.

but when u do the springs. push the shock in (compress it) and if it comes out by itself then its ok.. if it dont then its nackered

ah, good rule of thumb! My car sits straight at the mo. the only problem i have is the rear o/s is knocking like a beach, which i can't be bothered fixing right now. :p
