Here is a picture of my new motor, it is a 2004 Alfa Romeo 156 Veloce 115 bhp JTD in Rosso Red with Black Alfatex interior. Not yet remapped. It is not a Fiat but is part of the same family so hopefully you chaps will forgive me. I like it :D

Just got to sell the Fiat Stilo Abarth , anyone interested it is listed on ebay at http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4589587108&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&rd=1

Very very nice :D

I had seen your car already on eBay [actually, another member had pointed it out to me].

I just love the Alfas so much (y)

So how does she handle and perform?

Good torque between 2000 - 4000 rpm. Cruises well. Obviously the engine isn't as refined as the 2.4 5 Cylinder petrol in the Stilo nor does it have the same performance only having 115bhp. Managed 57mpg on a motorway cruise yesterday so that is somewhat of a bonus!

Ride comfort and handling is superb, sporty and very assured, puts the Stilo to shame really but I never did get my Stilo lowered. The seats are more sporty and seem to hug you into them. It also seems to have less road noise, possibly due to it having 16" alloys compared with the Stilos 17".

Downsides so far....there are no cupholders  . The Stilo cupholders are great for cans of coke and the door pockets perfect for a 500ml bottle, there isn't a single one in the Alfa.

Apart from that I'm really happy with it at the moment. Just hope it holds up and no reliability issues.

Thought I'd give ebay a try for the Stilo. I have a mate who wants the car but unfortunately the deal involves me taking a crappy old Renault Megane so I'd have to shift that, all a lot of hassle really. See how it goes.

Beautiful car that!

My main car's a 147 1.6 TS Lusso and Ive just bought '94 Panda Fizz to have a different kind of fun with.

No other cars Ive ever owned or driven have that special something that Itlaian cars have - its got to the point where I dont listen to the radio in my Alfa anymore, I just keep it over 4000 revs and wind the window down! (where its sensible to do so!)

Music to anyones ears!

Very nice, I have always loved the look of the 156. Actually got to drive a 2.5 V6 once and that was excellent. Congrats, there really is nothing like getting a new motor, I am chuffed to bits for you. Interested to see what the Stilo goes for.
