already posted this in cinq/sei section, thought i'd splash it out on everyone!
Wow! That's a nice peice of work! Well done! Whether I'd have it or not is irrelevent, the finish looks perfect!

did it start life as the same bumper? Where did you get hold of the peice to add on to it?

it's my original mk1 bumper. bought a 97 ibiza splitter directly from seat.

the bodyshop cut and shut the splitter to fit the width of the sei, filled in the recess in the splitter, then attached it to the bottom of the original bumper and fibreglassed on (apparantly he used some super strength plastic compound too). they then filled in the gap between the splitter and the bumper to make it into one unit.

the slats were cut out as well as the number plate recess and smoothed over, and the blue bar was totally removed. they fabricated the whole top bit (near the bonnet catch) to line up with the headlights.

also smoothed over bonnet too.

it looks smart as fook... only problem is getting out of ramped places

thanks for the comments though :D

as for the numberplate... your guess is as good as mine!!

was fiddling around with putting the plate at the bottom, it kinda makes the front end look really tall and a bit ugly

i've been naughty and ordered a custom sized plate, reckon i'm gonna mount it on the grille just underneath the top of the meshing.

shouldn't really do it but i don't wanna spoil my front end with a big ugly plate :(

first day after i got it back i pulled into a petrol station and a policeman stared right at my car, didn't say a thing. i've bodged up a stand for the windscreen at the moment so it's clearly visible, they can't really argue
