Yo. Im a newbie to the site and modding cars lol so this is my Black mk2 Punto, its not exactly "modded" but ive done a few little things in the 2 weeks ive had it but nothing major yet.

Anyway i bought it 2 weeks ago for £50 lol. Its done over 100,000 miles and it runs really well. Main thing really is that the horn doesnt work but ill get that sorted.

Im thinking i want to go down the kinda euro/stealthy look...

Mods ive done so far are:

*De-side stripd doors
*De-badged boot
*Bee sting aerial (might spray it black
*Fitted and removed Dtm style mirrors (didnt like them once i put them on)
*Colour coded wing mirrors
*Colour coded a few interior pieces
*Fitted alloy window winders, then removed (looked s**te)
*Fitted Pioneer DEH-2300UB headunit. iPod ready
*Pioneer 10cm speakers (not fitted yet)
*Got a b.new front bumper primed to colour code (not fitted)
*Hgt/Sporting rear bumper (not fitted needs a bit of filling sanding and painting)
*Xenon headlight and sidelight bulbs
*Sparco interior matts
*Bought some stickers not fitted yet though. Hmm...
*Got pressed german style number plates (fit once its lowered and got deep dish alloys)
*L.E.D washer jets (not fitted. dunno if i will either, bit tacky?)

To do's:

*Lower on coils
*15" Cades Eros alloys. Fancy Black with sliver polished lip
*Abarth sideskirts
*De-Tango headlights
*Angle halo rings for headlights, seen some on ebay
*De-Badge bonnet or bonnet bra....?
*Either tinted rear lights or MK2b rears.....?
*Colour code a few more interior pieces
*Maybe change instrument cluster

Probably get loads more ideas in the future

£50 for that car, bargain! Any more where that came from?

plans sound good :) Euro look sounds pretty good, get some coilovers and some nice wide alloys. :D
Yeh i bought it from my uncle i did, it was sitting on his drive, he'd just put tax on it so he said give me £50 for it and i bit his hand off haha. yeh i defos wana go euro inspired. thats the plan, but was laid off on friday so we'll have to see what happens but ive got a few things to do like colour coding the new bumpers so atleast ive got something to keep me busy now im not working lol

depends what u want to do. plastic welding is the best option before using fillers to smooth it all out. then there is the respray. for best results, get a bodyshop to do it. there has been plenty of threads about this so do a search and read up about it. u can then make an educated judgment on if its within your capabilities.

Ive bought these to smooth them, so hopefully gonna give it a whirl sometime in the week or maybe the weekend but since ive got no job now i suppose i can do it anytime really lol i just need to get all the materials in. Ive realised with the blue back bumper though that the black trim is moulded in so i cant remove that but im working on that. Gonna buy another lol

Just to let you know, the black front bumper wont spray properly because its made out of all plastic stuff that doesnt like paint if your doing it yourself and the rear one the black plastic should come out iirc. Just held in with some clips in the back

the rear bumper vents dont come out, it looks like the aftermarket model where the vents are part of the mould. front bumper may paint... if its not the oem polypropylene version. if its made of abs, it will paint fine.

well i bought the front one off ebay and apparently it does take paint. Its not like the standard ones with the stippley pattern on it its all smooth? soo im not sure. And yeh the rear one the vents and black trim are moulded in so im hunting for another one and going to sell that one

Smoothing the bumpers takes time m8. Took me a few days a bumper due to me using the car every day. I then resprayed the bumpers myself but ive got a spray gun and a compressor. I wouldn't recommend a rattle can job. Either smooth them yourself. Hand the bumpers over to a paint shop and just ask them to paint them. You will save allot of money that way. paint is around £50 for half a litre and you would only need 300ml spray both. So you would have paint left over for maybe wing mirrors :)

Just a little update. Ive put a better instrument cluster in the car now, one with a rev counter. Looks miles better now. But i think its crying out for a nice bright Plasma Dial kit, think ill order one this week. Also got a new rear bumper on that the trim comes off, so ive got the front and rear bumpers ready to smooth just gotta do it now, aaaaah lol.

also ordered 2 more forum stickers gonna stick one on the windscreen at the top and one on the back window. And cause i was laid off the other week ive handed my P45 in at the jobcentre and apparently i should be reciveing a nice payment, tax refund. Soo im now hunting for some new wheeeels. The kind lady said its about £450.00 so could get a decent set with that right?

Got these Pioneer 6x9s off Ebay for £7.00 and they do actually work aswell, they were filthy when the arrived though covered in what looked like red brick dust, so cleaned them up and wired them to my surround sound for my t.v and they work fine

Bought a new cluster set for £15 off ebay really makes a difference and looks much better, thinking of getting a plasma dial kit for it

Ive also got a new sporting steering wheel because i HATE! the standard one, was gonna get an abarth one but was out bid in the last minute! annoying but i found this and it was cheaper so its all good
