Seicento My Little Monster

Introduction

Well heres my little beast, a lot of work has been done on it, it is the Fiat Seicento Abarth and I have put a modded bumper and bonnet on it, and did the vinyls. It has the standard 1108cc engine with a sporting induction kit and a pretty loud exhaust system, and also a loud sound system which consists of 2 fusion 6x9s, and a 12inch pioneer sub in the boot. Theres a few more things which has to be done, like tinting the windows etc, and i also plan to drop a 1.2 turbo into it next year. Well here are the pictures, just like to hear some feedback. Also as you can see from the first picture I have only past my test a few months back.:)

Yeah bought it in a front end smash for £340, my dads a car mechanic so he fixed it up and basically rebuilt it :), can't see the vinyls very well so i'll upload some of the sides. :)
the orange wheels are similar to what someone else did :D i like it

Well you can see on the back bumper the original exhaust hole on the left, but the old exhaust on it was cut into the bottom of the bumper originally, because there was a twin exhaust on it orginally, so i just left it how it was. Also yeah i do go into tamworth alot, i go to tamworth college 3 days a week and i have a few friends up tamworth, so im here quite a bit. I dont go to nuneaton a lot.

each to there own and can i just say that alot of insurers are now saying any modifcation that is not performance inhancing is free ie body kits, tinted windows, lights, bonnets, some exhausts and some wheels

my insurance company has said nothing extra to pay for any of my mods apart from suspension and the engine conversion

Can i just ask guys, how can you justify so much money on insurance for a car worth so little? It's mad! Call me tight, but i get pissed off paying more anything more than £800 on the A500 which is worth a lot more. It would do my fruit in having to spend that much :(

For new drives they could be driving around in something as crappy as a metro that has most of the shell rotted away and an engine that goes bang every 20miles, and the insurance will still be 1k plus. All because "they don't have any driving experience". Technically they have more experience as a 50 year old as they are fresh up to date with latest laws, road legal systems, and one way systems.

It's stupid, in all honesty. This new law (which might be brought in) that they have to pass another test to be allowed to drive at night is just a bit over the top, as that will also be cause to hike new driver policies another 10%.

Thanks

spend it or walk. simple as.

you spend money on nights out and doing things that you enjoy so if you enjoy modifying and driving why not spend the money????

But to me, how could you justify spending so much money on a 500 ? I personally would of got something better for that money mate ....

But to me, how could you
The clue's in the pronouns, I guess.

Get a car you like and can afford to insure. "Like" is a simple matter of taste, so trying to apply your own taste to justify others choices is bound to fail.

Personally, I think 500s aren't particularly pretty. Get an oldpunto instead ;). I'd rather have one than a mini though, of course...

(edit)
Ahahaha. Never mind. Sarcasm detector failing today. Late. Tired. *yawn*

'like' is a matter of my personal opinions, am just expressing it. What is wrong with that ?

Wouldnt have a punto, but used to have a mini and loved every moment of it :).

The clue is in the word 'opinions'.

oh and insurance isnt always about your car. imagine the damage you could do if it went tits up. atleast everyone is covered. tbh i dont have insurance for my car, if it got wrote off and someone was SERIOUSLY injured id damn well not give a toss about the car and more about making sure the insurance was footing the bill.

Well that's more to do with opinion isn't it (the A500 is an amazing car and perfect for me) being ripped off by insurance companies purely because they know young people have no choice is another thing. I've got a 126 as well, they wanted £600 to insure that FFS, so I've just wrapped it up for the winter and wait until the price comes down. I just hate spending money that you'll never see again!

Yeah fair enough mate, but every new car depreciate fast, so really you have spent some money you will never see again just like him with his insruance :).

But am sure the enjoyment of driving/owning it will give you bags of fun :).
