Hi everyone

Thought my 1st post should be a before pic of my shed berfore I did anything to it.

8208DSCI0034.jpg

Since the photo was taken (last summer), there have been 1 or 2 changes to the ICE (CD headunit, sub and amp).
The grand plan is to do a bit to it on a budget of about £300 - £400. When I say do a bit to it, I mean ICE install, mod the exterior and interior and some alloys.

So far, my Cinq has:

Cracked wheeltrims
Broken Front Bumper
Stickers which I have never seen on any other car before
JVC headunit
Sony Xplod amp
JBL 10" sub in custom built enclosure.

Waiting to go in are:

Gearknob & gaiter
Seat covers
Tints
Sunstrip
2 way coaxials

Any other advice would be appreciated

Respray (y)

looks fairly tidy in that pic tho.

Edit> jus re-read ur post lol!

Try and get yourself some sporting alloys for it, and get it lowered, cinqs look ace lowered on 13's IMO.
debadge the bonnet too.

The cinq looks tidy cos I washed it not long before I took that pic! :D

Yeah I was thinking about the Sporting alloys. I think its a toss up between those and the steel wheels marketed by Weller wheels (www.wellerwheels.co.uk I think). 5.5 x 13, +34mm offset, 100mm PCD. That would mean spacers to get the offset right won't it?

How much would a decent set of Sporting alloys cost? Would they need spacers to fit onto a Cinq S?

Debadging - nice and cheap, may do that (esp. as it says Cinquecento S on the tailgate!)

Lowering - I don't see why lowering about 20 - 30mm would harm - I could chuck Sporting springs on couldn't I & lower it 20mm. Going much lower would be a problem as the cinq sometimes has to go up rough tracks to see my friends.

Don't dismiss a respray - it can be done cheap as long as you have time on your hands. I helped respray an old Bedford CF 3.5 tonne cab & chassis a few summers ago - my job was to flat down the entire cab - nice!! It would probably not happen as it's one of those things which needs almost total dismantling of the car to do a proper job and the cinq is my everyday car.

them still wheels lock horrid IMO, 100 pcd means wobbly bolts

True, when I first saw them (a few years ago in a Mini magazine advert) I thought they were, well a bit naff, to put it mildly. Funny enough, my bro said exactly the same as you. However, they've kinda grown on me & the only car I've seen them wheels on is a mini built by a university and the creator of the Jag XJ220. They looked OK - anyway 'wobbly bolts' is not a good omen - knowing my luck all 4 wheels would fall off at the exact same time as each other causing one of those 'comedy' moments! (n)

So it looks like that a set of sporting alloys may find themselves on my cinq then!
