Cinquecento richard33dees silver cinq

Introduction

Hi folks, it's about time ah got an MM thread of my own for my wee silver Cinq Sporting. Registered in June 98 on an R plate. 5 previous owners when ah picked it up in October 08. The car has run brilliantly since ah got it an it came with a bit of history too (which can be rare these days)

4years MOT Certificates and receipts for,
Sept 07 - New Cambelt, Spark Plugs, Aux. Drive belt, Engine/Gear box Oil - £276.13 FIAT Carlisle
Sept 07 - New Cooling Fan - £106.46 FIAT Carlisle
June 08 - New Centre Silencer & Backbox - £159.22 Hi-Q Carlisle

Pictures taken pre-MOT (Sept 09) Lowering springs are fitted, although it turned out the rear two were snapped.

Here's how the car has looked up till now, standard rear springs

Mods to come,
FK Cinq/Sei 70/50 suspension kit http://www.venommotorsport.com/produ...ory=Suspension Delivered
Eibach camber bolts http://www.venommotorsport.com/produ...ory=Suspension Delivered
B-pillar blacked out, Saturday
Suspension & Anti-roll bar bushes www.strong-flex.eu Product ID: 066074A (April although plans could change)
14" Abarth Speedline 5 Spoke alloys, need to sort out new tyres & spacers once suspension has settled

Av measured the height of all four corners and will post them up with some pictures of the suspension kit on.

No performance mods needed yet, nippy enough for me, even rocking on down the motorway. Especially through the Pennines M6 J38 Tebay > J36 Kendal :slayer:
looks mint mate. better condition that my vehicle :p:p.

need some pics with the b-pillar blacked.

OH and why do you have a boyancy aid? :p

Well suspension was a pure bar stewart to do!! 2 seized bolts ment it took far longer to do than ah thought. tbh it just looks the same as it did when ah first bought it.

Tried to fit the front springs ghetto style without spring compressors FAIL, they rubbed on the inner arch an sounded like they were gona pop out. Picked up sum spring compressors fae the local motor factor an sorted them out. Now it drives pretty well although still to get the tracking sorted. Ah chopped 30mm off the front bumpstops, cana mind off the rear but they need chopped again. Ah can still get in an out of ma drive nae bother, just have to wait an see if it settles any.

Managed to get it sorted before the rain started, will post some piccy's shortly.

just sign up on fuelly.com and start logging petrol fill ups. Once you've got a few fill ups you can get a sig strip. Check out udtrev's website for FF fuelly faq's and hall of fame http://www.wanderlustonline.com/Fuelly_FAQ.htm

I just looked at the website, is a shame they don't support UK MPG, guess ur sig is refering to the US mpg, which will read higher than UK MPg.

Yup tidy car as said on fiat-scotland.

Thanks
Ming

it says in the sig avg UK mpg??????

it converts it, but i dont see how a mpg in us is different to uk? do they have a different measurement for a gallon?

EDIT : click UK in the top top left and it will convert to litres

Hi Ming, they do support UK gallons, my sig is for UK gallons :D :D

If you view any consumption on thr site make sure that top left that UK is NOT underlined.

By the way welcome to Fuelly :D :D

1 gallon [UK] = 4.546 09 litre, 1 gallon [US, liquid] = 3.785 411 784 litre according to the online conversion site I just used.

Here's a little teaser shot for ya's, the backs still sitting a little higher than ad hoped, but pleased with the results. Had a tiny bit of scrubbing this morning on left hand full lock but not worried about that atm. Might when the 6x14s go on.

Ah will get some better ones when ah go for a thrash down the m/way tomorrow :slayer:

Av measured the height of all four corners

Av bin out an measured the drop, bearing in mind that there was lowering springs on the front and standard on the rear. The front has lowered an extra 20mm and the rear has lowered 50mm :D

Makes me think they were either shagged 40mm springs or 50mm lowering springs on when ah bought the car.
