Technical marea sw weekend radio, clock problem
Don't know bout the clock function, but if your only getting static on the radio i'd check your ariel or the plug to connect it to the headunit. Failing that it could be the tuner. 
That looks like an AD185M
Have you tried auto tuning the radio or doing a manual scan? Up/down arrows on right.
If you get nothing then The Beast is probably right and you have an antenna problem. I'm not aware of any of these headunits actually dying.
Clock
Press the clock symbol button until you see the colon stop flashing and either M1 or M2 in the display. The 1 button changes between M1(clock displays always) and M2(radio/cassette info displayed when on)
2 key is hours+, 3 is hours-, 4 is mins-, 5 is mins+
Pressing the clock symbol again will start clock at 0 seconds.
