My car is out of warranty in August ( 2 YEARS OLD ) and I want to do my own servicing Oil And filters etc etc is it something I should leave to a garage or can I tackle this myself.

Oil and filter changes certainly can be done at home. There is a how to guide on here somewhere.
If doing services with long intervals (such as 18,000 miles) make sure to use good quality oils as cheaper oil won't last the distance
Do you mean 2nd year service? If so thats a big one, check timing belt, emissions, brake fluid change, drums off etc
