Having had a very small old Fiat, my '92 Panda, foot hard through the firewall (750), dropped down to 4th coming up behind a middle lane hog considerably faster than them and they barely even notice you're there, on the other hand when I'm approaching in the Saab they notice and move over before I have to slow down usually. I think its definitely a old car thing, old + small and people barely recognise you as a car.
