The Nurburgring

You can stay in the mosel valley , its about an hour away from the ring - thats a downside - but its really nice , very picturesque with a slow flowing river winding its way through the hills which are covered in grape vines
if you dont mind travelling between the two places i would really recommend it !
besides , the roads around the ring are really nice anyway , so you'd probably enjoy the travelling :)

also , if you know the date that your gonna be at the ring you can check on the nurburging website to see if the tracks been booked out for that day - the first day we went i think mercedes had booked it out and it wasnt opened to the public until later that evening for only an hour and a half-ish :/
if you turn up and the track is booked , you can go on a back stage / pit lane tour thing , they speak english and i thought it was pretty interesting - but that might have been because there were some M3's on a skid pan , and some JCW minis going round the smaller track :D
hope you have fun ! :D
