Did you find the shadows weird ?
Until I saw an eclipse I never saw them circular shadows
Trev

Yes, there were weird shadows all over. The light peeping through small holes and openings casted the ring like image on the ground. Couldn't take a picture in my cam as I delegated those wide angle shots of surroundings to my colleague who was with the wide lens.

I'm fairly pleased with these ones. Strictly amature though!

Awful quality on an awful camera but I liked these both for different reasons.

Liked that just because of the sun light coming into the picture, meant I could edit the picture quite well.

And the sun is too much in this picture but I like the Northamptonness in it.

Been very lazy lately, few shots I got a while ago. Edited versions are on my lappy which is currently being a mug:

It must be my monitor, it isn't a dull photo at all!

Danny: Like the shot of the Tyne. It never fails to amaze me how much difference light makes to a photo. Er, I've just realised how stupid that sounds.

Bob: Thought at first that was a textile mill especially as it has the overhead shafts that would have been driven by belts, presumably from a steam engine originally.

Nowadays we'd have a very expensive system of lifts to move produce from one level of a factory. Those helter-skelter like shutes do the job just as well. Often the simplest solutions are the most elegant and the best.

I visited UK only once, and that was for 5 days and I stayed in NCL, just very near the Tyne bridge.
@Danny: Fantastic shot of the Tyne!

Couple of my recent clicks, thought of sharing it here.

I know it's not a great photo from a technical point of view. I was just chuffed that I saw a wild snake! :D It's a grass snake for those who are interested :)
