Well after getting fed up with our fujifilm camera i decided to get a new cam. Went on net looking for reviews and liked a sony compact one went to currys and was looking at compacts and the price kept going up .... So moved on to slr cams and looked at a sony a200 then spotted a pentax k-m with a lens kit and loved it Awesome quality pictures . The kit came with a 18 to 50 mm and a 58 - 200 mm lens have taken loads of pictures over last couple days and its awesome .
Paid £360 for it had a look online and best price I found on amazon was £460 so had a bargain !

Very nice, but there goes your wages, as you go and get extra lenses

My DSLR uses 2 types of batteries, got fed up with rechargeables failing on me, so grabbed a job lot of normal ones which lurk in the camera bag for when needed

In other words be prepared for using the camera like mad, especially if it has burst mode for sporting events

Have two sets of rechargeables to use that were pretty good in the old cam have energizer lithium batterys in the cam at the mo (came with it). will keep a spare set of them in my bag but realised i need a bigger bag already lol !!!

i was eyeing up a D40 @ £250 the other day, but im keeping spending low as ex mrs custard just got made redundant and my work isnt rock solid
