Been looking at loads of deals recently and i have come up with three choices.

1. FLI Trap 12" Active Designed £99.99

Link

2. JBL Setup £129.98
GT4 SUBWOOFER - 12in £49.99
link

GTO POWER AMPLIFIER - 400W GTO2000 £74.99

link

3. Sony Xplod £129.99
Sony 121P5S 1200w Silver + Legacy LA 590 - 800w amp

Just wondered if anyone knew which would be best?

I mostly listen to R 'n' B and hiphop and it needs to fit the boot of my sei sporting.

I can't fault my JBL GT4-10 sub. I would look for the RMS wattage of the JBL amp though. '400W max' doesn't tell you a lot really. The GT4 subs have 250W RMS across the board AFAIK. The GT4-10 has 250W RMS anyway.

I haven't heard the active Fli Trap, so I can't comment.

The sony/legacy package hasn't got any RMS figures from what I can see. This I would check out first before deciding anything. Again I haven't heard this as a package, so I don't know exactly what it'll be like. The sub isn't too bad however.

HTH

sony sub rms is 350w and the amp would be roughly the same. good allround packeage as far as powering the sub to its potential. but either the jbl or sony package would be fine. i know my entire setup is sony this is why it sounds good so i would recomend the jbl simply because the setup is matched equipment.

In my opinion on these products concidering i sell all of them which means i can plug them all in and hear them. :D

Fli trap 12" in perosnal opinion didnt like it i was expecting alot more but wasnt suprised when i found out vibe didnt make it they just designed it. if your looking for big bass dont buy it

JBL's i like the sound although i dont like the way they dont mark down there rms very well and just slap 1000 watts etc on everything a nightmare for people hat dont know the diff between the two and blow them up.

Sony's i cant really fault a very nice sub well worth there money but i still wouldnt have one as there are better sounding subs for the same kind of money

ProPlus acctually a good budget range ive met the owners they are a couple the wife does the sales and husband does the tech which he is very good he can tie most people in knots. if you are on a budget and want a half decent sub go for a data 15" its dual voice coil and gives a nice noise

just my opinion on what was mentioned
if your on a budget look out for the mutant gear too there 500 watts rms sub is a nice bit of kit

Thanks for the advice!!

Really was helpful, i gonna take a look at these other brands and see what they offer.
