Anyone interested, west mids group buy remap

Im still thinking about a remap for my Stilo JTD115, I believe if around 10 people want to get together then there could be big discount to be had. I dont want to pay more than £200, which I think is achieveable for a group re-map. Anyone else interested in West Mids or North Worcestershire area ?

Chipped UK was one idea, as they say they offer up to 33% off for 11 cars +, why would few be interested if it was Chipped UK ? The other was Angel who I think would also offer a group discount.

Chipped UK supplied my ST3 unit for my Audi A4 turbo. It was I think £250 for 2 maps and was fab! The service and support was good.

Whats wrong with Chipped UK?

Re: Anyone interested, west mids group buy remap

I spoke to Western Performance and it seems they only do custom re maps, which I am sure are very good, but their price is going to be too much for me. I think what I and most people may want, correct me if I am wrong, is a generic re-map flashed onto my ECU, but I would like a before and after print out to prove there has been a good increase in BHP & torque.

Re: Anyone interested, west mids group buy remap

most people want custom. if you getting generic then you might as well just do them your self, and just pay 30 for rr runs

How do you do them yourself ? I guess you buy a another ECU map on a disc and download it onto your cars ECU via a laptop ? But where do you buy the disc from ?

Any progress on this re-map group buy?

I have a 1242 16v engine that I'll want re-mapping in the next few months after it's been fitted.

Do they give you more loan these days based on the capacity of your car or something?

I am still working on trying to find a good Mids re-maper for less than £200, people really seem to want a rolling road before and after job.
