ok. best i can do atm is say i can't commit to buy one now - but if you are stuck with one, am 90% sure i'll be able to buy one of them off you in a bit.

if work would give me some bloody hours.. lol :(

With regards to payment. It depends who's running it.

If it were me, i'd get deposits off people, something not too small. I'd imagine £100.

Then take the full payment once they are done.

I think if someone gives a £100 deposit, they will be committed.

Whether everyone will be happy giving you £100 is another matter, but i guess via PM or email people could be reassured.

Time frame seems fine to me, as that will give a little to put the money aside. I could afford to buy it right now, but i would be very poor lol...I can pay a deposit whenever though :)

Its up to you and everyone else to come to some decission though :D

Having done a little more reading up I'm definately up for buying one but I'd need to know what is involved for payments, have been involved in a group buy on here but it was for more like 10% of the total asked for these.

On the plus side when you take a look at the listings for other FIAT model LSD products on the Quaife website then the price for this buy looks very appealing :slayer:

  • Nigelr32
  • KriTip
  • J333EVO
  • Rallycinq
  • Brooky x2
  • Smiler121

Can i just say at this point, I hate you :p just when i was contemplating selling up you drop this one on me.

Having never removed a Cinq diff i presume this price is just for the interals, rather than assembled in box? either way add me to the list.

Brooky you up for giving me a hand to do the swap?

Edit as Kris If it is possible for taller gearing that would be my pref too

IME things like these are made to order. Its a waste of money having stock lying around with no guarentee of selling. Of course they will stock the more popular ones, such as the vauxhall and ford ones. But i imagine even in spite of this group buy filling up quickly, they will never shift anywhere near as many of these as they do for the popular ones. But it would be nice to see stuff made for Fiat on their website :)

maybe but there is quite a few fiat diffs on there.

im just gonna wait. dont need one yet, plus i wanna ask opinions on if they are any use (or even allowed) on the sports i do. might help on one or two things but make it crap on the rest.

plus i bet a couple of diffs bought here will never make it into the car and will be in the classifieds after a bit :p

Can someone please tell me how this normally works, as far as payment etc is concerned?? I guess I'd have to buy all ten, then distribute them accordingly??

I suppose then I would take deposits off you all before ordering??

If we can get the number up to eight, I think that'll be enough to make me remove my diff and send it off to Quaife.(y)

Hi,

On other group buys I've been involved in, there's normally two routes, either an individual organises the group buy or a representative from the owners club organise & agreeing a course of action with supplier.

Then you normally get those involved to pay a non returnable deposit to the supplier therefore supplier has the details of who has bought and where they will be going once finished.

Once originally agreed amount of deposits is reached/exceeded, ie ten in this case supplier goes ahead and manufactures, orders in from abroad etc dependent on what is being bought and once completed contacts individuals in turn to complete transaction.

Gods sent out everyones happy.

Of course some are eager to get a move on the job & may buy a few items and then keep in stock for such time to sell on to club memebers at either original price or slight profit due to original outlay and storage of item dependent on size etc.

Other occasions the fee paying car club may purchase the items and then sell through the car owners club for small profit to cover costs & any left over kept in the club to further fund future projects etc.
