Just had my Dealer on the phone confirming that Fiat have removed the leather option on the Sporting!, no explanation he said, just a flat no from Fiat!
He can only summise maybe problems with suppliers ??????
Disapointed as we really fancied our Exotica Red Sporting with classy black leather seats.
Ordered 2 weeks ago, due for build in week 26, around the middle of June he tells me.

Hmmm thats strange, i ordered mine the launch weekend with leather and its been delayed soooooo much! but its gauranteed in for monday now....

Knowing my luck it will probably turn up with normal seats now!

Last time I checked website it was still an option on Eleganza spec.
Salesman said that all the content on the websites is controlled from Turin, not as he previously thought by the individual countries ie Fiat UK out of interest.

i would maybe push if you really want it.no harm in trying a call to fiat UK.
its only an interior so no big hassle to fit though they may be trying to get people to opt ofr eleganze spec

I received my Grande Punto Sport 1.4 16V finaly yesterday and it has leather steering wheel gearbox and hand brake handle.

Yes they pretty well all have these items trimmed in leather.
I am talking about the seats.

Do you know if this is only for the UK or leather in Sporting was cancelled in general?
I ordered my GP 1.4 16v with sport leather two months ago and my dealer still doesn't know when it will come out of production. Mine was the only sporting with leather and the regular ones arrived already, so I am now thinking maybe this is the problem.

I live in Macedonia btw.

All I know is that I cannot have leather in my Sporting 130 bhp due for delivery Sept 1st, due to be built mid June I am told.
I have e mailed Fiat UK thru the website but no reply yet.

as custard said, i would call them rather than wait for an email reply!

ordered mine 6 weeks ago , rang dealer to check today estimate 2 weeks away , said everything was ok ????

I ordered my 1.9 sporting with Leather interior / dz climate control / Black, back on the 13/03/06, mine has already been built and is on its way, so I can only presume that they have had more than expected number of people ordering leather and have simply ran out. (sounds silly I know)

Run Out???? God preserve us if Fiat let that happen, As I said earlier my Sporting is only due for build in mid June, week 26, surely the intervening weeks are adequate to resolve any temporary supply problems?

Hi, I ordered a Black Sporting 130bhp with leather seats 2 weeks ago (1st May) and rang the dealer today to ask about the seats. They say the car has been ordered and there are no problems with the leather seats, they could not give me a date but assured me I would get what I ordered

A case reference number???, I emailed Fiat as I said earlier , of course no answer!!, is this the improved Customer Service I wonder?
Should they have sent me a case ref number, if not where do I get one?

Well i can give you the number for fiat/alfa customer relations if thats any help, they seem to know a bit more than most....
