Just like your bicycle: low gear to start and climb hills (but lot of "winding"), then 2, 3, 4 etc. when started and on flat landscape ...; slow winding but harder to push ...

BTW what does everyone mean when they say that the gears are long?

Did you find what happened on your car? Did the mechanic do a good job? :D

BTW, now I know that petrol and gasoline is the same thing! I thought that petrol meant diesel, because petrol sounds like "a dirty thing", like diesel, and gasoline sounds like a cleaner thing.

Mine is diesel, that is why I use chip, but everybody, even at car review videos, says that 1.2 and 1.4 (I think) engines are underpowered.

Julio.

Hi Julio,
No man, I just ended up getting a new oil filter and new engine oil, and getting it flushed before the change. I will say this, the engine smoothed out a LOT, it just clearly felt like a lot of GUNK had been cleared through the system, so it definitely drove smoother. But I'm still of the opinion that it's sort of underpowered in the first and second gear. I'd driven a Hyundai before this Fiat, and it certainly delivered lots more acceleration. I'm not complaining too much now, but yes, when I take it for a major service, I plan to ask them to look at this issue. For now though, it's certainly running better.
