Iv been offered a set of front and rear seats from an 08 grande punto sporting. Is it possible to fit them into my 5door GP with little hassle

Anything is possible. Whether you have to make adjustments to the seats, obviously you have to compare both sets & figure out what you have to do, simple.

Word from the fiat breaker is "they will fit in with no problems" Is this just rubbish to get rid, or should i trust the guy?

The obvious & only choice is to go see for yourself.

Just to add the three door seats will have a tilt function & your five door will be on runners. You may have to fiddle about & do bit of fettling, but anything is possible as I've said.

Awesome cheers guys!! ?? Im going to see him and seats monday, iv been warned they a bit mouldy... But i can sort that no worries! Iv bought some wheels off him, sporting 17" multispoke thingies!! Getting them balanced at work ( car showroom/garage) and on they shall go!! Im just saving pennies to get a refurb and powder coat done too!

As soon as the rails/guides are the same they'll fit and you will gain the benefit of tilting the passenger seat if ever you need to put long object in the car ...
Regarding the airbag, disconnect the battery (negative first) before attempting ANYTHING on them and use a grounding whrist for static discharge.
Seats may have different trim options: lombar adjustement, heater, that might not be supported in your car; with a bit of skill you'd be able to activate them !
