Hi all,

I'm a newbie, sorry if this has been posted before - I have trawled and I'm relatively confident it hasn't but I'm aware that sometimes posts hide. So I bought a GP a few months ago and since then I have been trying to fathom the mystical intrigues of the steering wheel. I have searched the owners manual and trawled the internet for some kind of user guide to no avail.

And now I have found you. :) So, it's got the windows sign and + and - and when I press the buttons the very loud lady tells me to make a selection and no media is found (because I haven't plugged any in). I have tried plugging my phone into the USB port to play music or just to speak to it and I have tried locating a bluetooth connection in the car (which I assumed was the nobbly thing on the front of the dash board, right down the bottom of the windscreen).

I have noticed from a couple of threads on here that it may be possible to connect an MP3 player and that it may be called Me+Blue or something to that effect. Could you please tell me what it is for and how I can tell if it is functional, or set only for Windows Mobile and if you could give me some kind of link to an instruction manual that would be fantastic. I know I haven't sounded terribly tech savvy above but I'm fairly confident I can work it out if I just have a start point.

Many thanks,
Kate.

Many thanks for that PDF - that is exactly what I needed. TBH Martwho, I am the type of flat-pack girl who likes to 'see how I get on' before looking at instructions :) but in my defence, the car is second hand and I haven't found the manual for the system. Guessing it didn't come with the car, so I feel no shame!

I had similar issues when I got my GP. Main issue being that the car doesnt like IPhones and wont recognise any music from one, it also wont charge my iPhone from either of the USB ports so I use the cigarette lighter socket to charge the phone, a memory stick for music and the Blue and me for handsfree calls.

However, after weeks of using the maps app on my iPhone (I have just moved house and still finding my way around new area), my son suggested I use the Google maps app instead, and the car likes it :) Instead of driving along with the music turned down so as not to miss a turning, with Google maps it pauses the music and the instruction comes via the speakers.:)

Yes I know all you men who love reading manuals in the bathroom are probably rolling your eyes and saying 'we knew this already' so please just stay in there and carry on and please wash your hands when you are done....no need to respond:)
