Re: GPS 1.4 16V GSR Induction Kit & Red Dot Remap on Sunday!!

so results then, going by your signature, im pleased to see 106bhp but the torque figure seems very low, standard should be around 93ft lb according to Fiat?

I think the 93ft lb is at the fly rather than the wheels.

Fiat quote the mjet standard to be 207ft lb at the fly so i'm guessing they don't quote any other torque figures at the wheels.

I can say that the results are impressive on Ed's car and the sound is gorgeous!

What colour was the kit meant to be?

I had black to blend in with the car and make it look a little more standard than normal one's do :)

Yeah I was really impressed with the HP increase and although the torque did surprise me as Kris says they must be quoting torque at the fly wheel.

To be fair though, considering all I managed to get done due to a stupid ecu was the induction kit an increase in 9bhp and almost as much torque is really noticed I promise you!! The cars low down acceleration is now awesome...it shreds 1 and 2...(not as much as a diesel would though) and definately has improved through 3rd 4th and 5th. The power is alot more usable and accessable...definately worth £170 in my mind...get one now!!!

Sounds about right if you ask me! Want to make their figures sound impressive you see lol.

It certainly is mate thanks :slayer: not quite as impressive as they were on yours though!! :worship:

Try and find another induction kit that will give a small N/A engine 9bhp on its own and sound great aswell and you will be hard pushed!

Its a shame about you having the panda ecu, hopefully they will crack it soon!

Yeah for sure...I seriously doubt you could beat it. My friend with the C2 GT reckons his pipercross is better but when we get it on the rolling road we'll find out for sure because his car used to obliterate me and now there's nothing in it till about 80ish.

Besides...no other induction kit could give you so much fun whilst tunnel blasting!!!

Yeah definately...roll on remap!

Re: GPS 1.4 16V GSR Induction Kit & Red Dot Remap on Sunday!!

Have you shown him your printout, has he got proof of gains from his car??

yeah i have...and the figures are definately correct...once i'm remapped until we get into the areas where the 1.4 has no power left there is no way he'll be able to pull away at all!!

Nope...its another angel tuning customer so no proof just way off figures...wreckons he's pushing out like 135/140...not a chance lmao...I'm going to bring him down to Red Dot next time we're all there to put his car to the test!

No chance if its just pipercross and a remap, I bet he's on C2sportsclub.co.uk, all those lads are full of sh*t

What car has he got?.

A C2 GT, they're 110bhp standard

yeah lol, he is on C2 Sports Club, plastered all over his car...i'll get some more photo's of the 2 cars next to each other when i've done abit more to mine...his car is really tasteful and done really nicely...but whether its as fast as he says...i would doubt it...it don't hang around though!

GPS 1.4 16V GSR Induction Kit Fitted

Well, I headed on down to Red Dot with Kris (PuntoKris) and Tom (Thewitt) on Sunday to get my remap and induction kit fitted. Unfortunately they couldn't do the remap because as all panda 100hp owners know Fiat decided to screw us all over and use a locked ECU...£$&%^$£$£...however, the induction kit went on just fine :D

I was very disappointed when I heard that I would not be getting the remap as we'd travelled all that way. However once the induction kit was on there was no more disappointment left at all!!

Initially my car was pushing out 96.97bhp and 76.27lb ft of torque. After the induction kit...and bare in mind this is basically only allowing more air into the engine the car was running an awesome 106bhp and 85.49lb ft of torque.

I don't think you will find any induction kit that is proven to give this much increase on its own! And given the cheap price of £170 its definately a must have!!

The acceleration time has dropped radically with 0-60 taking 9 seconds and 80 not taking alot longer...the car now surges in comparison to before going through 1 2 and 3 rapidly. High end power is also increased although the emphasis is on low down torque.

The car now demolishes country lanes simply being left in 3rd. Its definately a million % better!

Now, the best bit...although the performance gain is very impressive for a simple bit of kit that takes half hour to fit the noise it gives is astounding!!! Now i'm not one for blasting around with a tin on the bak to get attention but this kit makes the car out to sound like what apparently is not far from a type r (ish) noise. And its really really really loud!! Only under full throttle though which is great as it allows for sneaking around still when required!

I can't recommend this kit enough! I will be posting photo's and videos' later (including those from sunday - that ok for you Kris!?)

Just thought i'd let you all know anyway...there's hope for all us baby sporting owners yet!:slayer:

EDIT: Just want to point out - when i refer to how fast the car now is i'm not comparing it with any of you million bhp multijet or tjet owners...just using it to show how vastly improved it is :)

I was very impressed with your car mate, the GSR made an outstanding difference to the sound and real world performance of it :D

I bet you're well chuffed with it ;)

thanks mate! I was seriously impressed aswell!!! Its awesome!! :D I bet your car feels different aswell doesn't it?! Certainly seemed to put a smile on your face!

why cant gpsporting an panda owners fit 1.4 punto ecus?

I did ask about this as not all of the sporting models have these stupid ECU's...apparently though although it mite work there's also a huge chance of it screwing everything up...and that's a chance i'm not quite ready to take...i'm happy for now and if in a few months time there's still no word then i'll have to think of going down that route for sure.

Was it worth it then? :)

Mate, that is the best £170 i've ever spent in my entire life!!! NO DOUBT!!!

Judging by the smile on his face on Sunday I'd say he thinks it was worth the money (y)

Sounds immense when in motion :worship:

Lol, the smile has still not faded...I went tunnel blasting with my friend the other day, and the video has to be heard and seem to be believed!!

Re: GPS 1.4 16V GSR Induction Kit Fitted

Here is a photo of the engine bay with the GSR Fitted and without the standard air box. I went for black to make the induction pipe fit in abit more but you get the idea.
