Hey again Gents,

Finaly got around to fitting my LED day running lights, but I've wired them up to a remote switch as apposed to tapping into the cars original electrics. So no warranty issues

Thought I'd upload some pics to share with you all, all comments welcome

Edit: [Decided not to wire them into the sidelights after all]

P.s I'll try to get some night pics up tonight.

was it difficult to install? i once had linked an led in my front grill to a switch but it was a bit of a bodge job lol

That looks preety good tbh, get a daylight picture too, would be interesting to see where abouts they sit in the headlights.

Hey, thanks for the replies.

They were fairly easy to fit, didn't even have to take the lights out. I've fitted a remote box to them instead of tapping into the side light wire so not only were they easier to fit they can come on on there own via a key fob like device, (not that I'll put them on without the side lights).

If you look at your lights T-jet, you'll notice there's a gap between the bottom of the light and the bumper, All I did was loosen the light off slightly (only 2 bolts) and squeezed them into the gap, then tightened the light back up. I'm really pleased with them tbh.

and they are the same kinda strip, but im gonna cut them down to like 3 led's and put them under the lights like tom has

i dont really want them

i got HID's so everythings too bright anyway

pimpin' with HID's is the way forward

They look good, did you buy the same 24cm ones as Gary from Ebay? Why didnt you just wire them into the sidelights? Surely that is the easiest way, both 12V arent they? Cant imagine having another key fob in the pocket and having to turn them manually on and off is the best way to do it, i think they look good with the regular sidelight bulbs. Did you use any method of adhesion or did you just 'squash' them in? Sorry for all the questions, a guide would seem to be appreciated.

I like the idea of them being separate as i don't think they would be as noticable with the sidelights too.

I wired them up to this:

so I didn't have to tap into the cars electrics at all. It says they will only run when the side lights are on, you can get round this by wiring the second positive of the remote unit to the pos on the battery.

My PM said:
In the remote pack you'll get two positives (one for side lights and one for battery) If you don't want them wired to the side lights take both the positives to the battery. There's also a negative which also goes to the battery.

You'll also get a yellow cable which splits into 2 bullet connectors at the end, this is the positve for each of the led strips, wire the positives from the LED strips (test for the positive first lol) to the yellow cable. You'll now be left with two negative wires, one off each of the LED strips, either wire these back to the battery, or earth them on the car's metal work (only works on unpainted pannels.

It's only a rough guide but may help
If you need anymore explanation or anything, give me a shout.
