Nah skeg's within the limits of where i can be arsed to drive!

If it was a drive at a silly time in the morning then maybe I wouldn't mind so much, I seem to enjoy driving around more then!

its not a good argument saying that you cant be arsed... people are willing to travel from london ect and you can only be arsed driving to skeg from yorkshire

I can't be arsed driving to Minehead either, I'd rather (and would) spend the money and time on a decent foreign holiday. Sorry but it's too far and will lose potential northerners who may have wanted to go nearer the time. Wherever is chosen should be fairly central IMO.

its once a year - and people have the right to chose where they want to go, in the last thread both butlins topped the poll. People had the chance to suggest somewhere else, but i dont recall many suggestions.

If people cant be arsed to travel a bit far once a year then thats up to them

Edit: just checked the thread and i cant find any suggestions of midlands, or anywhere specific. Skeg had 15 votes, minehead 18 votes - no other of the options came close.

I never said people didn't have the right, merely that my not wanting to drive however many hundreds of miles it was is a perfectly good excuse for not going. I always travel 'a bit far' for meets by the way (except camping, though I would have travelled for that), can't speak for anyone else.

If people wanted a central point, they could have said but they didnt, i thought it would be fair to run the poll between the top places that topped the last one to give people another chance of voting.

Like I said i dont mind where it is, if it was scotland i would drive there, i have been there for a long weekend and didnt mind the travelling, but thats just me

i live very near east coast and minehead is right the other side in the west, but if ff is there its going to be better than a forein holliday

Minehead is motorway practically all the way there, unlike skeggy where you are on the smaller roads for most of the journey.

But I dont mind doing skeggy again, its just once a year, but minehead is something a little different.

Just make sure there is plenty of cake
