Does anyone know of a decent dealer in the Hertfordshire area, because I've tried getting some service out of Pinneys (Luton) and Lisles (Welwyn) and not had much luck with either of them. Basically, I'm only trying to buy a car, nothing too complex, but given their salespeople's attitudes, I'm not sure if I should bother with a Fiat or not

Keep away from Lisles. They stink.

I use DBS Desira in Hertford. I had a couple of test drives with them and got brochures 'n' stuff and they were pretty good. I bought my car provately in the end but that wasn't because of their service.

They do my servicing and repairs and seem to know what they are doing and are (relatively) reasonable cost-wise - Everything they've quoted me for has actually cost less. They even understand the Connect Nav+ and the Selespeed gearbox. I think this is because they do Alfa too

I've had a Ford, two VWs, a Vauxhall, a Jag and a Renault in the last 2-3 years and apart from Jag who are a different league would rate Desira towards the top of this lot (with VW and vauxhall way down the bottom....)[!].

Fiat's a bit different and a bit special. You should go for it! (what Fiat are you looking at??)
