I've just had a cambelt change and service done on my Marea 20V 2.0 HLX for a total cost of £616.86. The work was done by TC-Motors of Benfleet. It was a pleasant change being able to talk to the organ grinder (Tony) who was most helpful. The cost included having the driver's door stay and an electric window switch wiring fixed.

thats not bad one guy in here with your car was quoted £1000 fot the belt change, he was told it was an engine out job, did your man say he had to take the engine out[?]

Yes, the engine had to come out. Tony, the mechanic, told me the manuals etc say it is a 10 hour job but he reckons you would have to cut corners to achieve that time. It took Tony about 12 hours.
