Xbox 360 or PS3

Id just go to game and play both for yourself and make your mind up there as too many people are fan boys with 1 or the other console so you normally get an extremely biased view as to which to buy.

PS3 doesn't have the infinite power people seem to think it has 360 is not that far behind in terms of power and is actually stronger in some areas but the BR drive does mean PS3 is better future proofed.

Tho as said try them both get the one you like. Or alternatively if you're going to be playing with friends online get the one they have.

im all wired so paying extra for wifi is pointless for me

also whats all these bigger hard drives used for?
i stream my media so the HD's on the PS3/360 are barely used though the 360 does have ripping to the hard drive for games

PS3.

I used to have a 360, the ONLY thing it does better is online, and thats slightly, but you pay for it so it needs to be better. It has no exclusive games that would make me choose it over a PS3, o and Forza is terrible, GT5 will be 10000x better.

!! i meant 250gb. i meant the online gameplay is superior, it just runs so much better. in my experience anyway, it could be an anomaly.

Modern warfare 2 cservers crahsed on the ps3 in the first week because they couldnt cope, but xbox servers can cope with large amounts of users.

The first few days both PS3 and 360 had servers problems. PS3 servers can cope with high volumes of users.

tbh i hadnt heard of any xbox problems in first few days so cant say nuffin bout that, and i know ps3 can handle large amounts of peoople, but everyone at once trying to connect crashed it.
in my opinion the 360 is the path to go down, but truth be told, theres probs not much difference in general.

Which is what happened on 360 so your argument is pretty much null and void. First few days people on both consoles struggled to get online down to the sheer amount of people that were trying to get on at one time.

I love these arguements

They say xbox had problems but me or 10+ of my mates had absolutely no problems playing online and still havn't.

I remember PS3 people bitching about it though and there has already been a patch released for PS3

playTV I use mine for, allows me to record freeview to my PS3, pause and rewind etc, uses about 1gb per hour which is excellent. Oh and it also recieves the available HD channels on freeview (about 1!! lol)

They didn't crash because they couldn't cope. The servers were taken down whilst more servers were added. They didn't crash.
