Not got long as pizza should be delivered to FS HQ shortly but thought I'd leave a teaser

Oh dear what have we done now....

More updates later tonight

To add to the above post...yikes.

We were promised the floorpan from a Cento from Overton...we ended up, as you can see, taking away half the car!

Stu and I got to Overton for about half nine and had the dead Sei stripped and on the trailer within about 3 hours. Not bad considering neither of us were really feeling up to it to begin with.

After picking up some bits/droping off Mrs Stu and returning to site, it turned out marti155 and Johnno933 had already rebuilt the exhaust and pasted up the water pump. Obviously that needs 24 hours to set properly, so we'll use the opportunity to clean out the header tank - systems already been flushed out!

We've also been gifted a nice new temperature guage which we'll wire in at some pont soon - non essential for MOT, but when we have a mo we'll get it fitted for all the time it'll take.

So - exhaust repaired, throttle body swapped (cheers Stu!) the 4th spark plug changed and it was dark in the 'deen....time to jump yellow and see if all that hard work had paid off. Not only did she turn - and I'll be quick to point out, this wasn't even a 30 second run - but she's sounding a LOT better. And Stu was one of the first to point that out.

Ever the optmist, I'm quietly confident that somewhere in todays work we've possibly resolved the dodgy running issue.

Tomorrow - swap the front breaks over from FiaSco to yellow, plumb in the header and refill teh water, engine flush (still need to get a new copper washer and sump key but that won't be an ask) and with a little luck we can think about the MOT again!!

Nackered? Definately. Satisfied? Hell yes.

Massive thanks to everyone for todays shift!

Not much progress on FiaSco today but there was some work done not related to Yellow which can go in here.

I posted the pictures of our new donor floorpan yesterday and the eagle-eyed amongst you will have spotted that it's much more than that. Hell, I could see it so shame on anyone else who couldn't  Admittedly though because my first thoughts were how the **** do I explain to my work why we have yet another broken car in the shed! It's not really a worry however as they're not stupid and can easily work out that we had the capability to trailer it in and therefore can also trailer it out if necessary.

Moving on, part of today's task was removing anything sellable from the carcass. There's quite a lot there and if it sells we think it'll add up to £100 to the coffers for work to the site cars which isn't bad considering it cost us a tenner in the first place.

Where was I...

This is the front of our donor once we stripped it - by we I mean the royal we as I mainly handed over tools and held the flashlight. Martyn and Lewis did the bulk of the work

And this is what's left inside

Here's what we're hoping to sell

And finally a quick picture of just how decent the floorpan is. We've put it up on wooden pallets for now to prevent it from rotting in the puddles that unfortunately form in the shed when it rains :(

Still beggars can't be choosers :D

next step is to continue stripping FiaSco back to the bare shell and then at some point we're going to have to make a decision as to whether we save it as a pickup or use it as a trailer for Yellow. A tough decision for some of us but definitely not others
