Guess the cinq is done and can't stop doing any oily bits since the weather is so good .

Well As the title, me and my bro's del sol was involved in a low speed front end accident around 2 years ago and the car just sat there ever since. Couldn't really afford to fix it up as I needed to my cinq up. As i don't believe doing 2 cars up at once will work both physicall and financially.

Really not sure what my plans will be, but my garage is filled with goodies for the civic (will fit the del sol as well) Just to list some, Coilovers, larger throttle body, competition track rod ends, cambers adjustable upper arms, 6 pot calipers, stainless steel exhaust manifold, Inlet mani, list just endless .

AS it stands it has the Vtec engine in it, which is 1.6 DOHC and kicks out around 170bhp.

Anyway here are some pics before the accident!



The steering on the car always been a bit dodgy so I took the steering rack out, now hunting for another . Then is just sort front end and fit headlights! Hopefully it will pass a MOT.

Then really needs to save up for the body work to be sorteD!

Sounds interesting, been looking at various Honda's and CRXs in various guises have popped up of course. Looking forward to some pics even if it is in a bit of a state :smile:

Crx /del sols are rather tasty...along with a screaming Vtec =]

me and my mate had a vti civic eg shape same engine and made a hell of a noise just a shame the cars in general are a bit cack to much rust for my liking wonder if the b16 would fit in the sei

Lovely car they are! And handling is something to die for .

am sure there is/was a company that fits the B16 into the back of a cinq!

Aye it does have potential Rob!
As does his brother's Civic that's just siting on the drive, doing nothing.
4 Jap Cars and 2 Italian Cars at Ming's house.

Eg is the best shape for civic, follow by Ef then EK . The new shapes are not really my cup of tea!

ive never like the ek bug eye civics horrible looking things but sayin gthat never like most of the new ones either apart from the new shape type r 5 doors nwo thats a nice looking motor

You seen the EK9 type R ? Is very nice.

Yeah they are very nice, is such a shame they are import only !

The mugen civic type R is much better


When i fit the rack, i'll get more done so i'll upload more pics then!

the mugen is nice but there is something about it standard that stands out more that the mugen there is a blue one around the corner and looks great sure they are putting out around 250ish bhp aswell so not a bad figure either

mate had a ek type r a wee while back changes his cars more than his undies though

was imported and supercharged at time he picked it up was running around 350hp which would have been fun

Got the correct steering rack fitted . Got some competition TRE to go on

always liked the delsols, one of the best designed small sports cars of the 90's IMO

A good few years before SLK came out with their electric hard-top design as well :smile:

Yup, that was indeed one of the reason why . IT was the first ever eletric hard roof convertible!

Anyway got the front brakes stripped down and painted.







The rust on the suspension components are really annoying me. Think i will strip it all down and paint it with just simple black paint.

After that is fitting headlights and hope everything lines up!

And got Uno inlet to fit to the cinq as well man so much to do!!!
