tidy that :) .

You thought about move the brake lines inside the car? and moving the whole gear selector mech inside the car as well (brings it close to the driver)

Rally cinq has done it, so if he has more details!

Cheers Ming,

When i replaced the brake system pipes yes i did think about it but i made the decision to keep them where they were already routed but i did replace using copper as the steel was in a bad way, with regards to the Mesh no its staying where it is,when i started this project i was never going to go this far:surprised:i really just wanted a rally look-a-like based Cento that i liked, Then i went the track car direction just for fun and use it for some Italian meets so there are some things iam doing and some things iam not,the bottom line is it will only ever be used as a track car for some fun and going to some events nothing more,

Well i got the lifeline nozzle jets mounted on some alloy brackets i made during the week in the engine bay so that only leaves me to get the extra pipping i need to finish the job off and i should get that ordered this week,

I also got the bracket my friend had made so got it primed up and painted,i also got the holes drilled so it not just a case of bolting it in place to keep the fuel pump in place and help reduce vibrations,

Hi Guys and Girls,

I like the forum changes!! Cool

Well a little update,

Iam still waiting on the parts i need to finish the lifeline system off in the engine bay as the company i bought my parts from are still waiting on a back order so until that comes in will they be able to send me the parts i did so more on that as and when i find out anymore info,

I was going to be fitting the 6 point cage this Month but i have decided not to until the summer as iam looking to use the car for a few meets and events this year so i thought i would fit the buckets seats, mounts and harnesses so at least i could then get the car mot'ed for this years summer events,

Not sure when i will get them fitted but i will update the thread as i always do as and when i get some more work done on the car over the next few weeks,

Indeed this car is getting nuts and every picture i see from this thread is printed with £££ and lots of ££££.

I'll got some harness off David (rallycinq recently :D ). Once it passes its Mot, then i will fit harness and seats too :D hmm .. are you using orginial runer for the seat ? And how much did the cage cost and where you buy it ?

Also i'll got the eyelet bolt too, but i think i will just screw them into the orginal positions but without the plate like urs. Guess once the cage is fitted, you can just wrap harness round the cage instead?

Be good doing some trackday together :D

To much £££ but its worth every note,

I don't have the cage yet as i made the decision to buy what i have above so i can use it for some Events later this year, but iam buying a Sparco 6 point bolt in £500 + vat + postage costing £600 then it needs painting costing £100,not cheap but i may still look into get one made as i know a few welders as i live beside Rosyth Dockyard so iam not short of a welder or two around here,

Iam like you iam just using the rear and front fitted anchor points with the 4 point harnesses that are already fitted but i did have to fit the 2 extra anchor points using them 60mm x 60mm 5mm plates as the old ones were part of the Fiat seats which i don't have anymore so had to fit these so the 4 point harnesses will work so you will be safer to use the plates than without them mate,

No the new bucket seat mounts will bolt straight to the excisting anchor points so there is no need for me to use the old runners as it will only have to fit me and once i get it adjusted to me it should not need moving again,

As for suspensions, you keeping the 20mm lowering kit?? go for something more extreme?

Ming

Iam not sure yet Ming? if i do it will only be the shocks and struts i'll replace for something nice!! although iam happy enough with the new stock struts and shocks i fitted in the winter so they will do for now,

Cheers Scuderia

Tell ya what mate, get yourself onto the A90 and head north. I'll bung on the kettle, in return for some help with the Bravo?

Joking aside, thats some amount of work you've put into the motor! Keep up the good work!

Hi Martyn,Thanks

This little thing is enough work mate but it worth it.

YcMing said:
Did you bolt the seat to the orginial runner :D ?

That does indeed looks tidy! I wish i was at that stage, but am just stripping the rear suspension now :( . You are super quick!

Ming

Hi Ming

No i just used the 5mm alloy brackets i bought and bolted them to the old mounting points on the flloor pan so need to use the runners as he seat does not need moved,

It all takes time and money Ming but you'll get there mate, thats been about 17 months now from bought it but i still have about a year or a little more before i will be at a stage iam happy with but theres no rush as its garaged as it not my everyday car so its not outside melting away with road salt lol,

Cheers Scuderia

Cheers,

What a 1.4......yeah so everyone is telling me,iam happy with the 1108 and iam keen to keep it as orginal as it first come off the production line if that makes sense, crazy i know but then again iam crazy lol,

Cheers Donald

Right i will have another go lol,

What iam trying to do is keep it as a Fiat Cinquecento 1108cc Fire Sporting and not making it into something its not,so iam only changing the parts i need to to achieve the look iam going for and keep as much of the cars original characteristics as and when it came off the production line,

Cheers Scuderia
