How much horizontal space have you got between wheel and arch when suspension is compressed?

how can anybody answer this?

nobody knows what wheels you have, how wide they are, what tyres and their width is or how low your car is.

Or whether it scrapes, or whether the wheels look "Lost" in the arches etc etc etc, there's about as many variables on it to be as well asking about payloads of an Intercity train.

it's a personal needs/choice question really, what i can say is just widening the rear on a fwd car will hurt turn in quite badly.
