iv been looking for new spark plugs and an air filter for my punto so i called up halfords and they said it would be around £24. so i went to the motac down the road from me and i got all four for £3 each. the exact same plugs too. and it was same with the air filer. halfords said it would be £14 andi got mine for 6 in the motac. i guess thats just a wee warning / rant.

I like to use Halfords to look around, examine anything that interests me. I then promptly go home and search online for anything I seen to get it at a more logical price.

ye thats what i do now aswell, its good to be able to see it all there in the shop. but the prices are just too much

Trade card, i get a set of spark plugs from Halfords for under £5.

There 3 for 2 offer on polishes isn't that bad an offer depending what you buy, generally there Autoglym SRP and EPG is £2ea dearer than online but getting the 3rd product free makes it worth it. Think am gona buy some after pay day.
Ah get discount at my local motor factors so buy all my stuff there, they only stock Meguiar's so have been using that recently.

I use Halfords for some things, but can see you're point with the expense of using them for others. The majority of the stuff I've got in there has been in some kind of clearance usually.

I mean if you look at the alloy/tyre packages they have and go online you can save hundreds over what Halfords price them at for example. I do most of my car bits shopping online as well. Something that interests me regarding that is how bad the Halfords site actually is - it only seems to show a small fraction of what's actually available in store, which is weird :wacko:
