didn't no what topic to put this under but...

As some of u may/may not know, i'm looking for a new car, something bit faster turbo'd or R/W drive or 4x4's won't go a miss either but i still like the punto...

so the question is new car or engine transplant???

I called overton's dismantelars today (just outside aberdeen) used them before and r really good, they have a 1.4 GT TURBO 8v punto engine there just over 30k miles goin for £350 +VAT BUT no gear box, driveshafts, ecu, front wiring loom etc etc . dunno weather to hunt round for the rest of the parts or not??? once got off the phone my boss said, "if ur changing engine's why not just go all the way and get a FIAT COUPE 2 LItRE 20V TURBO put in it" :shock: i laughed at first then thought about it :idea: but i'm thinking that it wouldn't just be a plain swap.

the other option is sell the car and get a new car. My thought so far are: punto gt turbo, Mx-5 ( dunno if there girly or not), toyota starlet turbo or galancia turbo (lol at spelling), MR2 but still think and getting input from other people.

Any suggestion's/ ideas???

Personally, I'd look for a damaged repairable Punto and, if your into engine changing etc, maybe do a conversion. A lot of hassle BUT something different!

Then again, you could just buy a GT I guess :roll: :lol:

i no but i've neva seen one apart from pics (honest) dunno what there like speed wise, condition etc

I don't think putting a coupe turbo engine in would be a good idea. Have you seen how much spaghetti is in there?

I think a GT would be a good bet or if you fancy something different an MX5 but be prepared to put up with gay hairdresser jokes for the next 10 years.

See, all the more reason to do a GT conversion! Dont think I've heard any hairdresser jokes about the GT's! :lol:

Just think - you could be the next BarryBoys site owner with an mx5 - all you'd have to do is change your name to Clive and your half way there! :lol:
