Recently when i start my car from stationary it feels like the engine judders from 1st gear bt then is fine ..........

i was told by an ex mechanic it may be the cold start part of the ECU...

Anyone any ideas?

mine does this too in the morning or wen its cold out. its like its wheelspinin but its not? id like to know the answer also.

likewise, i think its a common problem

its not a problem its just the car, i feel rough when i first get up in the morning and have to wake up, the car just feels the same , if you want it to stop put it in a nice warm garage

As Lozz says, its not a problem.

Certainly a fair few of you will never have driven a car with a mechanical choke.

I remember my mate got a B reg Metro for his 17th Birthday, and he couldn't figure out why it wouldn't start..

It must of been sat outside his house for 2 months.. he knew I knew a bit about cars so he asked me one day.

I got in, thought to myself, omg, what the hell is this? kinda thing. Looked around and noticed the choke, so
pulled it out and it started first time. lol.

He was proper amazed. What amazed me more was that he had no idea what a choke was for, lol.
