ahhh..theres more, the water pump pully bearings went on xmas eve so did 6 valves (acording to the garage who has the car at the moment) they have done all the work but they dont have this £140 tool so my car has been sitting there since last friday waiting for the gagage to finish it....so i thought i would take matters into my own hand and try to get the tool on the cheap

The garage should have trade suppliers for stuff like this though.

you dont need the tools the guy at my local fiat garage said he dont even use them

you should b able to do it wit a few screwdrivers to hold it all in place me and my dad managed it im sure somewhere in the haynes manual it shows how to fabricate a suitable bracket

The cam alignment tools are to set the cam timing properly, the cams have no marks on them so unless the garage marked them there is no way to know how they go on.

No amount of screwdrivers would help you there.
