Hi everyone, been lookin through your forums for quite a while now and at your gallery pics for just as long. (some nice motors in there) I've had my Bravo SX80 for about a year and a half now and not really done anything to it, but have suddenly realised i'm not doing it justice by keeping it the way it is, so i'm going to slowly kit it out it little bits and pieces. The first thing i need though is some new wheels. I currently have 15inch TSW Venoms on. I get a violent wheel wobble at around 70 then comes back again around 85, i'm told its because the wheels i have fitted aren't made to fit the bravo. So does anyone know what size wheels i can have, and what makes fit. Also they have to be nice to look at and quite cheap as i'm always going to be working to a narrow budget!
Thanks for reading this and i look forward to your replies.
Mike :)

Either your tyres are not ballanced or one of your wheels is bent or they have not been fitted with the correct centre bore adapter.

Any wheel will fit, within reason, as long as the centre bore, offset and PCD are correct.

From memory the Bravo is 98mm PCD, 38mm offset and 58mm centre bore. You can fit 100mm PCD wheels with wobbly bolts and the offset can be a couple of mm either way BUT the centre bore MUST be correct.

Thanks very much for that Tom, helped me out. So now the hunt begins for some nice lookin wheels with a smallish price tag attached, may try some 16's!
Mike :)

Oh dear me! The car has "A violent wobble at 70" so you speed up to 85 to see it return! I'd be S**T scared if my car developed a violent wobble at 70 and have a feeling I wouldn't decide to speed up to 85!

Anyway wheels - I had similar problem as you in that I really needed some nice alloys to repalce my current set after one developed cracks. So I would definately recommend E-bay: got some gorgous 17" Stilo wheels (not the 3 pairs of 2 spoke design)for just £310 barely used! Also cos they are Fiat they will do right onto bravo no problems.

Incidentally there are/were a couple of traders on Ebay who sell the 17" stilo 3 pairs of 2 spoke design that deano has for about £280 ("Buy it now"). I would have gone for these if I hadn't of seen the ones I bought.

Yeah i've thought about those wheels, may have a look on ebay now see whats on the go.
I speeded up because i know that sometimes you can go through the wheel wobble and it does then like i say it comes back, but after that your good again untill 95 go through that again and its good untill top end.

Y'know you really shouldn't be taking a 1.2 past 95 to its 'top end' as you aint being very kind to it! That said, you shouldn't really ever go above 90, as above that, and you are fairly sure to lose your license when caught.(and since it raises so much money, you will be caught)

Please dont think i'm a d**k head driver as i am not at all, i have an unblemished license for the almost 3 years i've been driving and consider myself to be a very careful driver! I only did this on the go ahead of my father who was sat in the car with me and asked to see if the car would go through the wheel wobble!
I ask i am not given the reputation of a d**k head driver as i hope to be using this forum alot through the stages of doing up my car.
Mike :)

Still that sounds like madness to me - ok doing 70 and get violent wheel wobble - for all you know the wheel bolts could have been working themselves loose (a similar thing happened to me aswell as another user on this forum)so you speed up?!!!

Doing 70 let alont 85 you could have both been killed!
