Had new timing belt and crankshaft oil seal done van runs well, but on deceleration or overun it growls loudly, in between gear changes soon as you lift off the throttle, or downhill, sounds like could be resonance from something vibrating?
Any ideas?

If it didn’t “growl” before you had the work done, but it does now, then I would take it back to the garage as it sounds as though something has been disturbed during the work they carried out. Get them to take it for a spin, and politely point out that somethings obviously not right.

Thanks did that yesterday, they found a plastic cover vibrating on a bracket somewhere? Anyway all good for now!
