Hi,

My fuel gauge is stuck on just below half full and doesn't move either with or without ignition on. I disconnected the sender unit and still no movement ?
So was wondering if anyone knows what the voltage should be to the sender unit ? Mine is around the 6v mark.
Also if I remove the sender unit is there anything I need to be aware of like getting air into the fuel line ?
I've had a good search through previous threads but couldn't see anything similar to my problem.

Any ideas welcome :)

Ken

And can anyone tell me how to completely remove the sender unit ? I am unable to lift it clear because of the float.

Thanks

The float and resistor card are clipped into the swirl pot just press the clip and slide it up out of the slot in the swirl pot. Make sure to disconnect the battery or you can we end up with an uncorrect reading.

Cheers for that, not sure if mine is the same as it doesn't have a swirl pot ?

Mine looks like the one on the attached photo :)

JTD needs a lift pump, are you sure yours isnt IDTD

Ahhh well I was only going off what we were told it was, and the log book doesn't state a model ?

But the image above is exactly the same as what my sender unit looks like.

Thanks
