I'm new to the site, and luckily stumbled across you whilst trying to find answers to our key issue - GREAT site
We have a Ducato motorhome, 2014
Our Key-fob suddenly stopped working last weekend. and we are flumoxed.

We've done the obvious and changed the battery - even tried a different pack - just to eliminate that as the cause.

Local Fiat dealer wants £100 to diagnose the keyfob - which feels a little excessive as that won't necessarily fix it - just tell us what's wrong.

Someone suggested it needs re-coding but the Fiat dealer says that's not the issue and they can't be de-coded or re-coded on Ducato's ???

We have a Gemini fob that came in our pack when we bought the camper - and that still works ok, but would really like to sort the issue with the main key.

Any advice or suggestions most welcome

I have dismantled them in the past, not found anything wrong, put them back together and found they worked. Don't know what the fault was, but I suspect a less than perfect connection somewhere. At such low voltages the slightest corrosion or dirt in a connection can stop it working.
