Have mentioned before, my van has the correct dash readout (ie it tells me in words that there is a glow plug problem or check engine, even says which door isn't shut,) has trip A& B etc,

But has no ext temp display showing, even though all other 3.0 180's I've seen has it!

Dealers say its a base model (even though it came with hill start & traction plus as std!)

So I can see on the readout in daylight the digits that would light up if it showed temp,

Question is?
I know of someone with a good condition 2nd hand complete drivers mirror,
If I get this unit, (elec, heated, with sensor)
Does anyone know if this will work (are the wiring connectors the same?) should it work or need setting up via plugging in fiats computer etc?

Hi Rolopolo, do you have the heated mirror switch where the hazard warning light is. It should be the first on the left. I have the temp showing on my dash, very surprised that you dont have it if you have leccy mirrors.

Yes have the switch, there's 3 options of mirrors. Manual, electric heated & electric heated with temp sensor,

Had it checked at two fiat service centres, and both say checking the vans spec, it shouldn't have ext temp!

Bear in mind my old 07 van didn't either, but had elec heated, not all have.

I know 1 requirement is to have the dash display like mine,

So all is in place if you get my meaning but it's like it's got the mirror without sensor,

Hence why I was asking if anyone knows if I purchase this 2nd hand unit that I know has the sensor will it fit (connectors) or not to see if it works or and does it need the brain telling it now has the facility (turn it on)

sorry cant help. How you getting on with the DRLs and HID lights. Down here in Cornwall it has not rained for a whole 2 hours. Having to drive up to Lincoln tonight. Van is 4 weeks old and already done 3500 miles.

It's still sat at dearlers waiting for a turbo, that was promised to be ordered yesterday to come in today, checked earlier and it's now due in Tuesday!!!

Now the vans back, I popped up the window/mirror switch today and found the mirror wiring plug/connectors,
Can anyone tell me if the mirror WITH temp sensor has two connectors or just one!? I have a spare connector which I'm guessing another possibly temp sensor plug connects too?
