Hi guys,
The van has been throwing up warnings, and going into limp mode,

Been told by fiat dealer it needs a "supercharger actuator valve" or something like, they've found this mod on a service note,
Anyone come across this and did it fix the fault?

I've never heard of such a part unless it's called something else in the real world,

Had picked van up today after they fixed a glow plug resistance issue from water corroding the wiring loom, got half way across car park when this issue showed up!

Well supercharger it most certainly doesn't have
I think they may be referring to the waste gate on the turbo...what fault codes are you getting up?

wouldn't have a clue on codes as it's in the main dealer, service manager showed me the service/tech note and it defo called the modification part a supercharger actuator, I'm assuming it's a translation wobble between Italian and English, just wondered if anyone had heard of it and if it solved the issue (dash warning "check engine" and FI light on and limp mode,

They just mean turbo actuator.

If the loom had corrosion and has been worked on immediately prior to an error revisiting that work in detail is the first port of call. I wouldn't be in a hurry to pay them to fit a new actuator.

It's all under warranty, they can throw all the parts they want at it, just hope it's fixed soon, hence my wondering if anyone had come across this issue,

If its a 180 euro five engine.
Theres a service news for turbo vane actuator unit due to water ingress. (they call anything to do with turbos supercharger/ing) must be the translation
If that does`ent fix it and the wiring is ok Its new turbo time, done 4 so far day job if nothing goes wrong or rounds off some right tight bolts, not the nicest one to fit as its a big one in a small place

Had it fitted today, fault cleared and drove home (not far) with no issues related to it,

But,
The water ingress issue with glow plug wiring (fixed last week) came back again, don't know what they did, they had it in w/shop for 2.5hrs and cleared that one too, fingers crossed!

Water ingress!!!! Wish I could wrap it all up in a water tight bag lol

Well managed 350 miles without prob, then limp mode and check engine warning again! Back to fiat in the morning!!

Guess what, they're ordering a turbo
Fingers crossed its available from fiat, should be fixed then tomorrow

Cancel that, they found more wiring issues including wiring to turbo valve thingy
Crossing fingers,toes and dangly bits that it's all sorted!

Does yours have any windage tray under the engine, helps keep out the water and crud.

There is a tray underneath, couldn't say how much of a cover, all I know is, it's about £100 as I needed to replace it after a hgv tyre carcass ripped it off one night lol,

Arrrrrgh!! Picked up van this morning, turned it over, "warning please check glow plugs"

So they are now ordering a turbo! Wtf

Is it under warranty?

Yes thank god, it's just the pain of being told it's ready or ready tomorrow time and time again, lost two weeks work now
