Yes more than likely from Italy as under warranty terms dealers MUST fit one of the approved batteries for that car.

Hi maisie

I use an independant garage to service and repair Mrs_G's Doblo Cargo. I have had nothing but very good service at a fair price :D (unlike the crap service at an expensive price from the supplying fiat dealer! ).

In the past year they have done the following:

Serviced the van about 7 times (2 of those included cambelt changes).
Traced and cured poor running due to a dirty egr vavle (cleaned it rather than just fit a new one :) ).
Repaired 5th gear when it literally fell apart and the van had to be recovered.
Fitted a new clutch when the original failed at 193,000 miles.
Supplied and fitted an excellent set of reinforced van spec tyres. Showing very little wear at approx 15,000 miles.

I also use them for any adhoc work on my 3.5 ton van that falls outside of its service contract with the local Iveco dealer - again excellent service.

Oh, they also service and repair our Volvo V70.

I have no interest in the garage other than being a very satisfied customer. :yeahthat:

cheers for the advice will make a note of the garage number, you would have thought a fiat dealer would keep batterys instock! not that expensive .

£70 odd...thats quite expensive especially to keep 30 different rating/sizes in stock, very few dealers could afford do this, maybe a few punto/stilo batteries but thats about it.
Anyway thats another matter, there are (from memory) 4 choices (makes) of battery approved by Fiat, maybe one of these types is available locally to your dealer, they should have a list of these as sent out to dealers as per service news.
