hi want to change the cambelt on my 1.9 cargo van. lots of brands out there who makes the best ? also what is the best oil?

6 and half dozen Dave. Dayco are well trusted for belts. As for oil it's not a performance motor so as long as it's the right grade (I can't remember off the top of my head but I think 5w40 for the 1.9) it'll be fine. I've been using oil from Asda for ages with no ill effects and it's often on offer.

5/40 is right for the oil.
Cheap and often is better than Holy Grail Mega-bux once in a blue moon with oil in a diesel.
Keep an eye out on local papers and flea bay and all that. It's surprising what you can pick up. I snagged brand new unopened 5ltrs of Castrol for mine for 10€ a couple of weeks ago.

As Eklipze says - any reasonable make will do on the belt but you want to do the lot while you're at it. It's the water pumps that fugg up and take the belts out, so reputable rather than flea-bay Chinese is the word.

Gates are a good brand too.

Used quite a few on Honda's with no trouble.
