I have an 08 doblo with a split rear seat.
What is the function of the metal loop on the centre of the back of the rear seat and am I okay to try to remove it? It can get in the way of loading when the seat is upright and even worse when it's flat.

Not sure what it is officially for but the parcel shelf will sit nicely on it when not in use. i.e. fold the shelf and store it flat against the back of the seats when they are in the upright position. Agree, its a pain if the seat backs are flat.

I never use my shelf so it lives permanently under the stairs. Seems like quite a hefty bracket just for that. Thought it might be for some kind of cargo shelf / ladder / bracket device
